A Consumer's Report - Peter Porter

In this poem, Porter compares emotional state to a reaping, this is a metaphor. withal this “ harvest-tide” “ biography” is being consumed by people. “the convergence I tested is life.”, Porter writes this as if life is a true(a) product, as if it can bought off just like that. As if, to him life has no value anymore. Porter too writes cobblers last to how money and energy are being used, as well as explains how “consumers” blend in in a materialistic world.
